FINAL PRODUCT CHANGE/CHANGE IN DIRECTION!!!!

Here is the Pitch explaining why we changed our idea.

This change began after we had filmed and edited our original plan, after this we showed it to some of our target audience and didn't like the feedback we received so we began to think of ways we could change our idea until we were struck by the totally new idea of 'CHASE'. Even though we knew it would be a challenge due to the remaining time we had, we still pursued this idea and our perseverance gave us the following thriller opening which we thought was excellent and way more better than the original, which then received the following feedback which we were very happy with.


Similarities between our old and our New idea:

  • Our protagonist is still involved with a government agency.
  • He is still being chased (no pun intended).
  • Our title have similar effects (Capital letters, big, bold, have special effects added to them)
  • We planned a plot twist for our original idea and we have put a plot twist at the end of our new thriller opening, in order to keep the audience interested and left in a cliff hanger.
  • Plot twist does have similarities.
  • Michael O'Shea is kept as the antagonist.
  • We still have the same production and distribution logos.
  • Our intended target audience is still the same.   
Differences between our old and our New idea:
  • Protagonist is no longer a scientist.
  • Only one antagonist.
  • Setting
  • Plot twist

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real products? From the top left to bottom right the frames are: Our Distribution company-  This was inspired by the american media company MGM with there use of the iconic lion roaring. Our Production logo- colours inspired by Hammer Film Productions. Name/Logo inspired by the ancient greek soldiers. 4&5. Preliminary Task and Eval

Preliminary task evaluation: Pre-production -In the pre-production process as we did not have much time we did not write a storyboard or a script and just came up with an original concept (The Chase), w e also did not have any costumes or props that we could use. We had to make use of our space around school as we were not aloud off site to film and after walking around the whole school we decided the best place to use was the science block. Production During the production stage we used techniques such as match-on-action and shot reverse shot to create verisimilitude. Post production Finally in post production we imported everything on to the MacBooks and used final cut pro to edit our film. We pieced together the scenes as we wanted using continuity editing.
