Who would be the target audience for your media product?

Age and gender of audience 

- Our aim is to have an audience aged 15-25 either female or male to attract a bigger audience. I would aim for our age certificate to be a 15 according to the BBFC regulations.

British Board of Film Classification (BBFC)

The BBFC say that they are a trusted guide to media content. Working as an independent, self-financing and not-for-profit media content regulator, the BBFC operates transparent, consistent and trusted co-regulatory and self-regulatory classification and labelling systems in the UK. Why 15 as your age rating?

Using the 15 certificate as our age rating is the best rating for our thriller opening because it allows us to have a big audience that actively watch films and visit the cinema often. Especially because of our genre of film being a Action-Thriller it will attract us a bigger audience because our age range actively watch Action Thrillers.

Also having a age 15 rating allows our thriller to be mature and not childish. There are many moments that a person under 15 may not like such as:

- Adult issues such as mental health problems and betrayal
- Violent scenes
- Jump scares
- Swearing

4&5. Preliminary Task and Eval

Preliminary task evaluation: Pre-production -In the pre-production process as we did not have much time we did not write a storyboard or a script and just came up with an original concept (The Chase), w e also did not have any costumes or props that we could use. We had to make use of our space around school as we were not aloud off site to film and after walking around the whole school we decided the best place to use was the science block. Production During the production stage we used techniques such as match-on-action and shot reverse shot to create verisimilitude. Post production Finally in post production we imported everything on to the MacBooks and used final cut pro to edit our film. We pieced together the scenes as we wanted using continuity editing.
