Preliminary task evaluation: Pre-production -In the pre-production process as we did not have much time we did not write a storyboard or a script and just came up with an original concept (The Chase), w e also did not have any costumes or props that we could use. We had to make use of our space around school as we were not aloud off site to film and after walking around the whole school we decided the best place to use was the science block. Production During the production stage we used techniques such as match-on-action and shot reverse shot to create verisimilitude. Post production Finally in post production we imported everything on to the MacBooks and used final cut pro to edit our film. We pieced together the scenes as we wanted using continuity editing. We then added sound effects, music and credits. What went well? We included a shot reverse shot successfully. We had a finished film. We used Match-on-action successfully. Even better if? Re shoot ...
The basic set-up consists of 3 light sources:- 1 positioned behind the subject being filmed and facing towards the camera – known as the the back light. The 2nd light is set-up to the left of the camera and side on to the subjects right hand side and is termed a fill light. Finally the Key light which is positioned level or just behind the camera and on it’s right side, directed towards the front of the subject. The lights should ideally be positioned wherever possible, directing the light down and towards the subject at a 45 degree angle.
Evaluation Pre production In the pre-production process we only had around 30 minutes to plan it and did not have time to draw a storyboard and had only written a small script which then had to be adapted. We also did not have any costumes or props that we could use. We had to make use of our space around school as we were not aloud off site to film and after walking around the whole school we decided the best place to use was a small hall. Production During the production stage we was able to find some props in the hall by which included a box of ping pong balls and a table and chairs. In the hall we had allot of space to film and was able to carry out the task of filming a shot reverse shot. Post production Finally in post production we imported everything on to the MacBooks and used final cut pro to edit our film. We pieced together the scenes we wanted using continuity editing. We included match on action shots. we then added sound effects, music and credits. ...
